•   Tradescantia 'Nanouk' is a highly variegated     cultivar whose pianterly foliage looks to be stroked with dark green, mint, pink and magenta. Its leaves grow densely along sturdy vining stems, and are on the larger side compared with other Tradescantia species.

• Like most other members of the genus cultivated for growing indoors, Tradescantia 'Nanouk' is very easy to care for, and a vigorous grower, and its trailing growth habit make it a great choice for a hanging planter.

• These plants enjoy being close to a south-east facing window but if you fined a bright spot, your tradescantia might bloom too! Avoid any harsh, direct light for very long as it might start to make the leaves a little crispy. If your tradescantia is not getting enough light, the stems can start to stretch and the variegation can turn more green in colour.

• Watering this plant once every 7-10 days allows the top layer to dry out between waterings. Check by sticking your finger in the potting mix and wait until the top few centimetres is dry. Another way of checking is the weight of the pot which will feel light when the tradescantia needs watering. Always remove from a undraining pot before watering so that the roots aren’t sitting in water.
