Our Roots…
Welcome to Anga’s Farm & Nursery
Located in the heart of Toronto, Anga’s Farm & Nursery is the city’s last working farm, a family-owned, family-operated green oasis that’s been growing with the community for decades. Spanning over 4 acres, we specialize in high-quality indoor and outdoor plants, gardening supplies, and seasonal favourites like fall pumpkins and holiday greenery.
Whether you’re planning your dream garden, refreshing your home with tropical plants, or simply looking for expert plant care advice, our knowledgeable team is here to help.

A Rich History
Our roots run deep.
In 1833, John Grubb purchased the original 150-acre property. In 1950, Percy and Gloria Kirby acquired 4 acres of it, farming vegetables and building greenhouses, two of which still stand today. The Kirbys grew everything from tomatoes to cabbage, selling both locally and wholesale.
After developers purchased the land, local residents fought to preserve it. In 1980, John Anga stepped in, reviving the greenhouses, planting orchards, and restoring farming to the property.
By 1997, Anga’s Farm was officially recognized by the City of Etobicoke as Toronto’s last working farm, a title we proudly uphold.

Growing Forward
Today, Anga’s Farm & Nursery grows thousands of plants each year, supplying gardeners across Toronto and beyond. From lush tropicals and native perennials to vegetable seedlings and fall pumpkins, our offerings change with the seasons, but our commitment to quality and community remains constant.
We invite you to explore our greenhouses, browse our seasonal markets, and join one of our hands-on workshops. At Anga’s, you’re part of a friendly, welcoming place where plants and people thrive together.
