Anga’s Pollinator Series: Kid's Pollinator Pals Workshop

Celebrate the magic of nature and the power of pollinators in this playful and educational hands-on workshop designed to inspire budding green thumbs!

Kids will start with a guided tour of Anga’s beautiful pollinator garden, where they’ll learn about bees, butterflies and other essential pollinators. We'll explore how these tiny heroes help plants grow and thrive, and how to create pollinator-friendly spaces right at home.

After the tour, kids will take part in a fun, beginner-friendly seminar on how to support pollinators through gardening. They'll learn which plants attract different pollinators, simple garden care tips, and the importance of pollinator habitats in urban environments.

Then it’s time to get creative! Each child will paint their very own terracotta pot with one of three adorable designs: a bumblebee, butterfly, or ladybug. Once dried, they’ll choose from a curated selection of colourful, pollinator-friendly plants, perfect for little gardeners, and pot them using kid-safe soil.

Kids’ Canada Day Planter Workshop

Celebrate Canada Day with creativity, colour, and a little green thumb magic at our hands-on planter workshop for kids!

In this festive drop-in workshop, young artists will paint a patriotic flower pot and plant their very own flower to take home. With red-and-white themed decorations and a little Canadian flag included, this fun and creative activity is the perfect way for kids to show their Canadian pride!

Our friendly team will be on hand to guide kids through the process as they paint, plant, and decorate their Canada Day creation. Along the way, we’ll also teach kids the basics of plant care, like how much water and sunlight their new flower needs, so they can proudly take care of it at home.

Elena is a visual artist rooted in glass and ceramic arts. Her work is a continuous evolution deriving from traveling and life experiences. She uses the connection of objects, texture and colour to explore the intricate relationship we have between our personal dialogues and those in social engagements. 

Elena has collaborated with numerous communities creating murals and community centered art projects. She believes art has the power to unite people and transform personal lives.

Have you ever wanted to try repotting or wiring a Bonsai but didn’t know where to start? Or maybe you're excited to create your very own Bonsai tree from scratch? This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone eager to dive into the art of Bonsai care and styling!

In this interactive, hands-on workshop, you'll create your very own Bonsai from start to finish. You’ll begin with a young Bonsai plant and, under the guidance of an experienced Bonsai practitioner, you will:

  • Choose your plant: Select from two different Bonsai plant varieties (Juniper or Small Ficus).

  • Pot your plant: Transplant your selected Bonsai into a beautiful 5" ceramic pot with a saucer, using the proper Bonsai soil.

  • Wire your Bonsai: Learn the technique of wiring your Bonsai to train it into the shape and style you desire, helping it take on its signature sculptural form.

Bonsai Styling Workshop: Create, Pot, Wire & Trim Your Own Bonsai!

Have you ever wanted to try repotting or wiring a Bonsai but didn’t know where to start? Or maybe you're excited to create your very own Bonsai tree from scratch? This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone eager to dive into the art of Bonsai care and styling!

In this interactive, hands-on workshop, you'll create your very own Bonsai from start to finish. You’ll begin with a young Bonsai plant and, under the guidance of an experienced Bonsai practitioner, you will:

  • Choose your plant: Select from two different Bonsai plant varieties (Juniper or Small Leaf Jade).

  • Pot your plant: Transplant your selected Bonsai into a beautiful 5" ceramic pot with a saucer, using the proper Bonsai soil.
